KSD Mobile Blood Drive

On Friday, September 8th KSD Insurance held it's first ever blood drive in honor of Robbie Dickerson. Robbie is the son of Joe and Tonya Dickerson. He had his fifth open heart surgery on August 3rd. Robbie is doing very well but owes his life to many blood transfusions. 

The blood drive was a huge success with 42 units of blood collected (the goal was 30 units). After separating the blood into red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets, we were able to help save 126 lives! There is such a high demand for blood that the donations received were in patients within a week. Due to the amazing results, we plan on having another blood drive in the spring. We will keep everyone updated as information becomes available.
